16 Types personality test: find your 4-letter type
The 16 Types test in Personality Tests Pro gives you a 4-letter type, such as INTJ or ESFP, from 40 statements, about 4 minutes that you answer with one tap each. Each letter comes with a lean percentage, so you can see whether you're clearly Inward or only just, plus a nickname (INTJ is "The Blueprint"), famous people and characters often typed the same way, and a card you can share.

How it works
- Open it. In ChatGPT, say “Take the 16 Types test”. The first statement appears with five answer dots.
- Answer 40 statements. Tap the dot that fits, from disagree on the left to agree on the right. There are no right answers, and every tap is saved.
- See your type. You get four letters, a lean bar for each (Inward or Outward, Big-picture or Hands-on, Logic-led or Heart-led, Planner or Explorer) and a short description with strengths and watch-outs.
- Compare. Tap Share to make a link. A friend can take the same test from it, in a browser or in ChatGPT, and you both see how many letters you share.
What the four letters mean
Each letter is one of two leanings. I or E: where your energy goes (inward or outward). N or S: how you take in information (big picture or concrete detail). T or F: how you decide (logic first or people first). J or P: how you like to live (planned or open).
The 16 combinations fall into four groups that colour the whole app: Minds (NT), Hearts (NF), Pillars (SJ) and Movers (SP). A letter where you sit close to the middle is shown as balanced rather than forced to one side.
Where the statements come from
The 40 statements come from the International Personality Item Pool, a public-domain collection of personality items, ten per letter pair. Lean percentages are worked out against a reference sample of over 400,000 people who answered the same items.

Questions
- How long does the 16 Types test take?
- About 4 minutes: 40 statements, one tap each.
- Can my type change?
- Leanings near the middle can flip between takes, which is why the result shows a percentage per letter and marks close calls as balanced. Retake it in a few months and compare in your history.
- Is this the same as other 4-letter type tests?
- It uses the same four letter pairs and gives you a 4-letter code, but its statements, scoring and type descriptions are its own. It isn't affiliated with any other test publisher.
- Which famous people share my type?
- Your result shows famous people and fictional characters often typed the same way, from published typings. They're illustrations, not test results.
- Is it a psychological assessment?
- No. It's for fun and self-reflection, and only about yourself.
