Enneagram type 1: The Compass

What type 1 looks like

Compasses tend to carry a clear inner sense of right and wrong, and they use it to steer. You probably notice details other people miss, keep your promises, and hold yourself to standards nobody asked you to meet. Friends trust you because you are fair, consistent and honest, even when honesty is inconvenient. The flip side is an inner critic that rarely takes a day off. Small mistakes can sting for longer than they should, and rest can feel like something you have to earn first. At your best, you pair high standards with warmth and humour and let good enough be good enough now and then. Growth often looks like play: doing something just for fun and forgiving yourself as easily as you forgive friends.
